I know everyone says it but last year really went so fast. The whole year felt like a blur and like many others, I’m ready to leave 2015 behind. Before doing that, I thought I’d reflect on this past holiday season. Thanksgiving was spent with family up in Northern California for a family reunion on my dad’s side. It was nice seeing everyone and being with family. Everyone was responsible for making a dish and I made green bean casserole… it came out pretty yummy!
For Christmas, I spent it with my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my mom’s side down here in SoCal. It was super fun being with them. We always have a great time when we are together. We played games, sang karaoke, ate delicious food, and just spent time together. I honestly am such a family oriented person that being around family just makes me happy — no matter what we are doing.
For New Years, my cousin was supposed to come down with his girlfriend from NorCal but he wasn’t feeling well, so my best friend and I just did something super low key (instead of the grand plan we originally had). The two us and her mom went to go see a movie (Daddy’s Home), grabbed some food, and then came back to my place to watch the ball drop and ring in the New Year.
Each of these three holidays were spent with different people, but I’m so glad I got to spend it with a variety of people. I love my friends and family and so glad I get to see them more often!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!
